Clare Twiddy is a Vancouver based musician who creates moody Alternative Pop with Electronic influences. Her songs showcase dark, gritty soundscapes combined with dense vocal harmonies inspired by artists such as Banks, Rezz, Whipped Cream, and Bishop Briggs. Welcome to Choral Dubstep Pop.
Clare launched her music career as lead singer of Raincity in 2016. During her time with the band they played over 400 shows touring the US and Canada and opening for artists such as Our Lady Peace, Bif Naked, Too Many Zooz, Five Alarm Funk and many more. She collaborated with Vancouver sensation Rare Americans performing across the RA2 album and featured on their track “Knives, Guns, and Bed” which garnered over 1.5 million views on Youtube.
In 2021 Clare released her debut singles “Tethered Down” and “New Devastation”. She produced the tracks with Cam Blake and released them alongside two dance based music videos that she performed, directed, and edited. "New Devastation" received a 2 year sync placement with Volkswagen China and was a Semi-Finalist in Song of the Year contest 2023 which featured judges such as Dave Grohl, Gwen Stefani, and Alicia Keys. Kyle Ohori (Seismic Sounds) and Twiddy co-produced her debut album “NOPE” set for release in September 2023.
Clare finds inspiration through the diversity of her artistic endeavours: music, dance, painting, video. Her art is a platform to advocate for mental health and encourage self love and freedom of expression.
